BACKGROUND
Dating back to early 1900s, this beautiful Federation Classic features an original detached dwelling, originally constructed as a Stables. Now a two storey, one-bedroom apartment, the space had not been renovated since the 70s. Some restructuring of load bearing elements was necessary, but the main hero is the timber featured throughout the new interior design. All materials salvaged from The Lyric Theatre and expertly treated to achieve consistency throughout the space, including wall cladding, doors, built-in robes, a custom bed, floor to ceiling mirrors, and bathroom detailing. The space is now a fresh, warm home with the narrative of re-use taking centre stage everywhere you look.
